Inspections

We report our findings to the owner, after a visual inspection, the overall condition of a roof. We report on:

1. The condition of the tiles (broken, chipped or slipped).

2. The top ridge is straight, not bowed, and no ridge tiles are missing.

3. All tiles are uniform in shape, style and colour.

4. The slope of the roof is even and consistent with no evidence of bowing or collapse.

Re-pointing

While all masonry will need repointing at some point, chimneys are particularly susceptible to water damage.

Their location subjects them to constant temperature changes while making them difficult to monitor for signs of damage. Before fall slides into winter, have your chimney inspected for mortar damage.

Repointing a chimney starts with inspection and assessment on the chimney breast, the mortar is then added with a sealant to make sure that the chimney works efficiently.
